Pretty Spring Day

If you were outside at all today, it would have been impossible not to notice that the sky was a perfect cerulean blue, dotted with cotton candy clouds, making it a perfect day for photography. The hummers are attacking the 6 nectar feeders in profusion and draining them daily. I also have my orioles back, claiming their own nectar feeder and orange and grape jelly diner.
This is a favorite garden piece of mine. A gift from my dear friend Maryrose several years ago, along with the fragrant jasmine that climbed the pole and puts on a scented show every spring. I have wrens nesting in the houses too.
Oh look, there's Dolly in her Easter ears waiting to greet our guests.Hydrangeas, oh how I love thee.....
Looking out back over the grove.
A hummer sipping nectar, hardly even noticing I am there. Gerbera daisies peeking out from behind.
Come back soon, the purple irises are about to bloom and my roses are exploding!!!!

I wish I was at your house today. We were at Irvine Park and it was sprinkling, windy, and freezing.

I'm envious...hydrangeas?! Love all of the birds. Not only do you enjoy watching them but you also know all of them and make sure they're well fed so they keep coming back.

Love the pictures, yesterday was so gorgeous. I can't believe that birdhouse is still alive. It has been years. I bet the jasmine growing on it smells yummy. Great pics, especially that sky and those fiesty hummers.
