Hammy Sammy's

WARNING.......The delicious recipe you are about to read is not figure friendly.  But it is too good not to share.  I got the recipe from my Aunt Pat.  She made these for the Hawaiian themed shower I went to on
Saturday.  She said that the lady who gave her the recipe, said they were meant for appetizers.  But they are pretty hearty for appetizers.  They are DIVINE!!!   Here are the ingredients.
Cut your rolls in half, and lay bottoms into baking dish.  Layer ham and swiss onto bottom halves, then top with other half of roll.
Melt butter and 2-3 T brown sugar, 1 T Worcestershire sauce ( I think I spelled that wrong! ), 2 T Dijon Mustard, and add 2 T poppy seeds.  Pour this over the tops of the sandwiches.
Heat in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.  Let set up for 5 minutes of so before cutting and serving.
That is my OV Glove underNEATH the pan, not in the pan.    I made this tonight, as per the recipe, but in the future when I make this, and I WILL be making it again, I will cut the amount of butter I use substantially.  I think you could even get away with using half the called for amount, without changing the amazing yumminess of this easy-peasy dish.  I hope you try it.  It is wonderful. Oh...and we were all saying how good this would be to use turkey instead of  ham too,  and maybe a little cranberry sauce.....Oh MY!!

OOooh, those do look really good! Any left overs? :)
Mr. H is at work tonight and I just made a smoothie. I'll have to try this. I think maybe Hannah and Claire would eat them too.

You have impeccable timing girfriend! I was coming here to tell you I made the pumpkin muffins this morning and they are to die for. That's a keeper! And I need an easy brunch recipe but I didn't want the usual egg and cheese overnight deal. This is perfect! Thanks for the tip about the butter too.

Big hugs from across the country!

Thanks for the recipe, I made them tonight and they were really good. The only thing is was your T for teaspoon or Tablespoon? I did the teaspoon but yours look like they have more yummy stuff dripping off then mine did. Still a big hit.
Thanks, Traci
