MERRY CHRISTMAS

The shopping is done
Packages all wrapped
The baking is finished
Now I need a NAP!
Some pics from my messy kitchen as I finished my baking and goodies for neighbors and friends.

The photo above is called Peppermint Patty Brownies.  Can I just tell you, you MUST make these.  The recipe I have is from my friend Ally in Joisey (New Jersey) and it is made with brownies from scratch.  However, I SIMPLIFIED it by using a box mix.  But then you make them extra special by pouring half the batter in pan, then lay unwrapped (duh) York Peppermint Patties in a layer over batter.  Pour remaining batter over top of Patties, and bake as usual.  OMG!!!!  You must try these.  Wow.
I also dipped Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe Joe cookies in white chocolate, and sprinkled them with red sanding sugar.  SWOON!!!
I made another batch of Magic Bars, and one more Rocky Road Fudge.  They are now cooled, cut, packaged, and displayed for Christmas.

Santa has made an early drop and the living room is filled with packages to open tomorrow morning.
 Rudy is waiting.
And so are we.  To celebrate the birth of  Baby Jesus.
Merry Christmas.  From our home to yours.
